About the event
We’ll explore key ideas like resistance, the drive for autonomy, and the growing influence of peer attachment. We’ll look at why pushback is not simply “bad behaviour,” but often part of a young person’s developmental process, and why true independence grows best from secure attachment rather than disconnection. We’ll also explore the risks of peer orientation and why maintaining a strong parent-child relationship remains so important through the tween and teen years.

This session is for anybody who wants a deeper understanding of what is happening beneath the behaviour — and how to stay a source of guidance, connection, and
And you won’t just listen—you’ll also have space to connect with parents in the same situation, share what you’re living through, and hear what’s helping others. Come as you are—bring your questions, your worries, and your real experiences. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.
